Stanley Mining Services – Reverse Circulation Drilling
STANLEY MINING SERVICES – DRILLING METHODS
  • Reverse Circulation Drilling – The reverse circulation rotary drilling method utilises dual-wall pipe, top drive rotation, and a side inlet for injecting the drilling fluid, air, or both.   more >>

  • Rotary Air Blast Drilling – RAB drilling is a standard rotary drilling technique using compressed air as a drilling circulation medium. The drill string and bit are rotated continuously as axial force is applied to the string. Compressed air or a mixture of compressed air and water is pumped down the hole through the drill pipe. The cuttings are blown up the hole along the annulus between the drill pipe and the wall of the hole.   more >>

  • Diamond Core Drilling – Diamond drilling is a system that can collect a sample in the state that it was found. In core recovery, a core (hollow) bit is used. The corebit cuts the rock continuously until the core barrel is full. The intertube of the core barrel can be lifted to the surface, emptied and returned by means of a wireline. All this can be achieved without pulling the rods. The only time that the rods need to be pulled is when the bit has worn or in the case of downhole failure.   more >>
